Ciara has a big heart of gold. And the kids at Seattle Children’s Hospital experienced just how big it is.

CiCi has accompanied her husband Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson on several trips to the children’s hospital. But her last visit was a special one. The R&B singer pampered the kiddies with makeovers complete with a glam squad. The pregnant mom wanted to organize an event to help make kids at the hospital feel beautiful – both inside and out. Revlon transformed the hospital into a beauty salon for the day.

“Every time I visit Seattle Children’s, I see how strong these children are who are going through such difficult battles,” said Ciara. “I wanted to help make them feel as strong and beautiful as they are to me, and to let them know I’m thinking about them. I often hear that I inspire these kids, but they’re really the ones that inspire me. They are the real superheroes of today.”

The children were more than grateful for Ciara’s good deed.

“The event was amazing,” said Fiona Lynch, 18, who is currently a patient at Seattle Children’s. “Ciara and her glam squad are incredible! They were all so nice and made me feel so special.”

“Being in the hospital can make you sad or get you down,” said Lynch. “Today wasn’t like other days in the hospital. I didn’t have to think about medications or scans. It really took my mind off being in the hospital and gave me a break. I just want to thank Ciara for thinking of us. It means a lot to the kids in the hospital who are sick.”

The two-time NBA MVP spoke to the students reflecting on his time at the high school as a youngster. He told them he wished he had challenged himself more when he first started playing basketball.

Apparently, when it was time to try out for the varsity team, the freshman baller skipped out on the varsity tryout and tried his hand at junior varsity.

“I went through some doubts about whether I could play on the varsity level at the time,” Curry said during a halftime ceremony at his high school. “But I wished I had pushed myself. That taught me a lot— to just go for it and challenge yourself in that regard and not let doubts or what people might tell you or how short or skinny you might be deter you from where you want to be.”

Steph then made his way to his alma mater Davidson College where he was honored during the halftime of Davidson’s game against Duquesne. His wife, Ayesha Curry, was right by his side courtside.

ESPN reports:

The student section at Davidson’s John M. Belk Arena was named in honor of Curry, the school’s all-time leading scorer. The new section will be called “Section 30,” in recognition of the number Curry wore with the Wildcats during their run to the Elite Eight of the NCAA tournament.

Steph’s Davidson’s jersey won’t be retired until Steph completes his college degree. The NBA baller left Davidson his junior year for the NBA draft.
