Lindsay Lohan plans to sue ‘Grand Theft Auto’ maker for Cracken-esque characters

Here are some photos of Lindsay Lohan, taken from her Instagram over the past week. She was doing a photo shoot (she claims) for Elle Indonesia, and then she was allegedly “cooking” and posting the gross food photos on Instagram as well. What in the world is in that casserole dish? It looks like cat barf covered in marshmallows. Ew. Anyway, Lindsay is scheming to get back in the headlines for something other than partying and/or relapsing. So, she’s decided to start suing people again. Remember when Lindsay just sued everyone who even dared breathe the name “Lindsay” in public? Well, that’s sort of happening again. According to TMZ, Lindsay is about to sue the makers of Grand Theft Auto. And yes, this is just about as dumb as you can get:

Lindsay Lohan has called in her lawyers to take action against ‘Grand Theft Auto V’ … claiming video game honchos jacked her image without her permission … TMZ has learned.

Sources tell us, Lohan’s lawyers are currently crafting a lawsuit — demanding Rockstar Games pay some serious money for using Lindsay’s image in the game.

So the question … did ‘GTAV’ really use Lindsay. Here’s the evidence:

— The video game cover shows a woman holding a cellphone who looks Lindsay-ish. There’s been debate over whether it looks more like Kate Upton or Shelby Welinder.

— Part of the game features a mission where a Lindsay Lohan look-alike asks the player to take her home and escape the paparazzi.

— Another part of the game shows another Lindsay-like character at a hotel resembling the Chateau Marmont hotel in West Hollywood — a place Lindsay not only frequents but once lived at — and the mission is to photograph her having sex on camera.

No word on whether ‘GTAV’ execs will pay Lindsay or tell her lawyers to pound sand.

Side-step the whole issue of the fact that Lindsay Lohan was actually an active participant in a real-life Grand Theft Auto (remember when she hijacked a car when she was all coked up?). The game doesn’t give these characters names. And having blonde famewhore-type characters in a video game isn’t enough because – let’s be honest – those women are a dime a dozen in LA (and NYC, and every major city). I’m including a photo of the selfie-taking character below… um, that’s not Lindsay. I would believe it was Kate Upton before I would believe it was The Cracken.

Anyway, I think it’s far more likely that Lindsay simply wants A) attention and B) a quick and easy settlement from Rockstar Games. I doubt she has much of a case, but if Rockstar Games wanted to fight it, it could take forever and they might think it’s just easier to pay her off with a low-ball (heh) settlement. Which she would then take and blow up her nose. Then she would steal another car and continue to LIVE the real-life Grand Theft Auto. The Circle of Life.
